Brick breaker tips
In a brick breaker the paddle is your only tool, but it does more than keep the ball alive. These tips help you clear levels faster and with more stars.
Aim with the paddle edge
Where the ball hits the paddle decides where it goes. The middle sends it up almost straight; the edges send it off at a sharp angle. Use the edges to aim for the bricks you want, and the middle when you just need to stay safe.
Break through to the top
Open a gap in the wall and aim the ball through it. Once it is behind the bricks, it bounces between the top wall and the bricks and clears a lot without any risk to you.
Use your power-ups
Catch the capsules that fall from broken bricks. Multiball and fireball clear a crowded level much faster, and lasers let you hit bricks without waiting for the ball. Let a capsule go if catching it would mean missing the ball.
Watch the ball, not the paddle
Follow the ball and move early to where it will land. A paddle that waits near the middle reaches both sides in time; a paddle that chases the ball is always late.
Go back for the stars
A level gives up to three stars. Once you know a level, replay it to earn the stars you missed.
