Snake game tips for a high score
Snake starts easy and gets harder with every orb you eat, because you are the obstacle. These habits keep you alive longer and your score climbing.
Eat fast for the multiplier
In Serpentron, eating orbs quickly one after another raises your multiplier, so a short path to the next orb is worth more than a safe detour. Take those quick paths early in a run, while you are still short.
Keep open space ahead
As you grow, the danger is boxing yourself in. Keep the big open area in front of you and do not turn into narrow pockets you cannot get out of.
Move in loops when you are long
A long snake is safest in wide, regular loops around the board, so its tail keeps freeing the space it will need next. Sharp zigzags through the middle cut the board in two.
Golden orbs and blocks
Golden orbs are worth 50 points but vanish fast: go for them only when the way there is clear. A block first shows as a blinking red outline before it turns solid, so steer away from a spot that starts to blink.
Do not trust the wall
Hitting a wall, a block or yourself ends the run. When in doubt, turn away from the wall early rather than late.
Practise in Serpentron
Serpentron is a fast neon snake game: eat energy orbs to grow, eat them quickly for a multiplier and grab golden orbs before they fade. Steer with the arrows, WASD or a swipe.
